Chasing after someone is not defending yourself. Anyone going away from you is by definition, not a threat.

 

Following someone is not illegal. You do not have the right to beat the shit out of someone just because they're following you.

George Zimmerman's head had wounds consistent with being pushed to the ground. Unless he attacked Trayvon Martin he was withing his rights.

The only way Zimmerman could be guilty would be if he pulled his gun on Martin first, and Martin thought his life was in danger.

What seems to have happened is that Martin thought he was being "dissed" and attacked Zimmerman from behind.

 

Irrelevant. If you go after someone else, then nothing that takes place after that point can be in your self defence. You put yourself into that situation voluntarily.

 

Trayvon Martin's mom has far more of a reason to be upset.

Excuse me. Following someone is not a crime, especially if one is in a neighborhood watch organization.

Most whites and and most blacks for good reason associate young black men with crime. Young black men have a very high rate of violent crime. That is why I am in favor of race profiling.

 

I think gz's mother is right, her son was arrested to placate the masses.

Fact is, if the event didn't garner so much publicity, gz would have walked away from murdering Trayvon with a gruff "be more careful" from his local constabulary :neutral:

 

There would have been an investigation. George Zimmerman action would have been determined to be justifiable homicide.

In my apartment complex in the parking lot in front of my apartment three black teenagers armed with hand guns attacked a man coming home from work.

Fortunately, he was coming home from his job as an armed security guard. :excited:

He was also a military veteran, so he knew about guns. He shot two, killing one. The third fled. He never spent a day in prison. That is the way the criminal justice system ought to respond to an event like this.

 

Why would the only reason Martin would think his life is in danger is when he saw a gun? He was being followed in the neighborhood he was staying. A stranger is on foot following him and all he has is a can of soda and a bag of skittles for defense. I'm sorry, but even if there was no gun, I may think my life was in danger.

 

When I feel that I am being followed by a young black man I don't attack him. I walk faster and take out my pepper foam.

 

And this was a teenager with a can of soda and a bag of skittles being followed by an adult man with a gun.

 

martin was a teenager walking in a neighborhood that had a neighborhood watch program and was unknown to that watch
and since martin was a known offender that was expelled from his school for drug possesion and had been found in possesion of stolen property, and evenmore that his own mother sent him away because she could not control him does leave alot of room for question
i was not there and do not know the entire timeline but if you do listen to the entire cell call he was having with his girlfreind (she recorded it) he never states that hes afraid
